Project Engineer – Perimeter Security & Technology Enhancement Projects – Hawaii

This is a unique role for a Project Engineer (PE) looking to manage all phases of highly specialized Security Fencing Enhancement Projects for some of the biggest Energy companies worldwide. The Project Engineer manages the development of building project execution from start to finish. S/he will be a key driver of each project, inspire a spirit of excellence and a communication style that moves the needle. This PE will have an opportunity to infuse latest technologies with traditional construction methods, delivering a service to our Clients they haven’t seen before. Initial projects will be in the San Diego County area.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute project objectives, promote excellent communication among all parties involved
  • All aspects of Demolition, Installation, and Integration  of existing perimeter structures
  • Installation of new electrical technologies (fiber optic vibration detection, cameras, microwave detection, etc.)
  • Installation of new security fence (expanded metal, mesh, or palisades)
  • Installation of new electrical technologies (fiber optic vibration detection, cameras, microwave detection, etc.)
  • Work closely with the Owner and vendors to support the expeditious completion of contract requisitions
  • Weekly interaction with all Contractors and our System Optimization Director
  • Work with Engineering for drawings and submittals
  • Weekly meeting updates with Project Manager and team lead
  • Partner with all vScenario division to enhance turnkey solutions




Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Engineering, Management, Engineering or 4+ years direct experience
  • 3+ years Construction Engineering experience, preferrably self performing general contractor experience
  • Valid Driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle


  • Substation experience
  • Low Voltage experience
  • Site Logistic Planning experience
  • Experience working as an Owner Rep
  • Certified Associate or Professional Constructor

Additional requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Background check that meets company and client requirements
  • Position may require evening and weekends when project demands arise
  • May require learning new skills to support the company when needed
  • Most work will be on Oahu, with future projects moving to the other Hawaiian islands.
